BMW is looking to further tap into the sustainability market with its latest gas-electric vehicle — the ActiveHybrid 3. The German automaker has focused on clean-diesel technology to provide increased fuel economy, but hybrid sales in the United States jumped 63.5 percent in the first half of 2012, according to Forbes, and demand in the U.S. and Asia has the Bavarians branching out.
