2007 Jeep Commander Limited 4x4
The 2007 Jeep Commander is a 4-door, 7-passenger sport-utility, available in 6 trims, ranging from the Sport 4X2 to the Overland 4X4. Upon introduction, the Sport 4X2 is equipped with a standard 4.5-liter, V6, 235-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. In the new 2006 Commander, Jeep offers a capability no Jeep has had before: three-row seating and the ability to carry seven passengers. Equipped with a higher level of safety and security features than any previous Jeep, the Commander represents the first salvo in Jeep's upcoming product offensive.
Positive: A strong engine, an attractive--if boxy--interior, and some important safety features make it easy to forget you're driving a Jeep. A navigation system with satellite radio and a bunch of nifty electronics such as heated seats, power pedals, and a reverse warning system, add to the luxury feel.
Negative: The Commander's standard third-row seating makes for cramped quarters throughout and limited visibility. A boxy exterior and a boxy dashboard house a nav system with boxy graphics.

Summary: The 2007 Jeep Commander is a powerful and well-appointed upscale SUV. While its performance blows the doors off the competition over any terrain, a cramped interior and clunky cabin tech bring it down. Jeep has long been known for vehicles that enable owners to go anywhere, do anything, at least in spirit.
