Mahindra to Showcase Electric Vehicle at Delhi Auto Expo

Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to showcase electric vehicle at the upcoming Auto Expo event in Delhi from January 05.
Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the largest automakers India, plans to launch the electric vehicle by the end of 2010, Pawan Goenka, Mahindra & Mahindra President (Automotive Sector) said.The electric vehicle will be on display along with the automaker's full range of products, including two-wheelers, utility vehicles, light commercial vehicles and trucks at the upcoming Auto Expo.
Mahindra also plans to introduce hydrogen and CNG vehicles over the next 12-18 months. "We have developed hydrogen and CNG powered vehicle. It could be launched in the next 12-18 months depending on the infrastructure," Goenka said.
He stated further that the company intends to launch a hydrogen powered three-wheeler as well.
Mahindra & Mahindra would also unveil its next generation mini truck, Maxximo, at the Auto Expo 2010. This would be the first product to roll out of Mahindra's new Chakan plant.
