Toyota is showing 38 production and concept cars at Beijing Auto Show this week, including the "Yundong Shuangqing" China-only hybrid concept and Dear Qin cncept cars.

The Yundong Shuangqing will be made in China and for China only, with the hybrid system locally produced at Toyota’s research and development center in Changshu, China.

Toyota president Akio Toyoda hopes the Yundong Shuangqing will make Chinese customers happy. “We would like to put smiles on the faces of our Chinese customers with hybrid technology. I want the people of China to be able to experience the beauty of hybrid technology through a hybrid car born in China,” Toyoda said during the concept’s reveal.

The Dear Qin twins are notable for their bold front ends, with the 'T' Toyota badges proudly expressed on grilles which merge with strong lighting graphics - continued in the frowning LED strips running into the lower bumper. The compact sedan and hatchback Dear Qin are designed for markets worldwide, according to a press release.
